DanTelco is a company founded by GN Store Nord, which has been operating in telecoms and submarine systems in Russia and Easter Europe since 1869. DanTelco located in Copenhagen, Denmark is the Central Billing Party (CBP) for the Georgia-Russia Submarine Cable System which aims to be the preferred telecoms route to the Caucasus Region.
The CBP is responsible for contract negotiations and billing for all users of the Submarien System. DanTelco also has the technical expertise connected with operation of submarine cables and is represented in the Mediterranean Cable Maintenance Agreement (MECMA) as the Maintenance Authority of the submarine cable system. MECMA is responsible for fast repair of any damaged submarine cable in the Mediterranean Sea, the Black Sea and the Red Sea from its 2 cable ships based in France and Sicily in Italy.
